خوشبختانه پس از تقريبا يكسال تلاش بيوقفه، آخرين كتاب من 'نگارش پيشرفته' در ماه جاري به چاپ رسيد . اين كتاب جهت ارتقإ مهارت نوشتاري دانشجويان زبان انگليسي دانشگاه پيام نور با هر سه گرايش مترجمي، ادبيات و آموزش ترجمه و تأليف گشته است ، اما خواندن اين كتاب را به همه ي فراگيران زبان انگليسي كه درصدد ارتقإ مهارت نوشتاري خويش هستند و همينطور متقاضيان آزمون هاي بين المللي آيلتس ، تافل و نظير آن كه در مهارت نوشتاري خود احساس ضعف ميكنند، توصيه ميكنم.

Literature is a vague term which usually denotes the works which belong to the major genres: epic, drama, lyric, novel, short story, ode. If we describe something as ‘literature’, as opposed to anything else, the term carries with it qualitative connotations which imply that the work in question has superior qualities; that it is well above the ordinary run of written works.
ادبیات اصطلاحی مبهم و کلی است که معمولاً به آثار ادبی که به ژانرهای مهم و اصلی؛ حماسه، درام، رمان، داستان کوتاه و شعر تغزلی تعلق دارند اطلاق می گردد. اگر اثری را در تقابل با اثر دیگر «ادبیات» بدانیم، این اصطلاح در خود مفهوم ضمنی یا تلویحی کیفی دارد، بدین معنا که اثر ادبی کیفیت بالاتری نسبت به اثر مورد مقایسه داشته و برتر از بسیاری از نوشته های معمولی و پیش پاافتاده است.

Plot
Plot is said to be the most important element without which there can be no dramatic story, no drama and no play at all. It is in the Plot that a complete and unified action arranges its events and processes. Plot is a ‘structure’ in dramatic narrative that contains its organizational elements.
پیرنگ (طرح)
گفته می شود که پیرنگ مهمترین عنصر داستان است که بدون آن نه داستانی دراماتیک، نه نمایش و نه نمایشنامه ای مطلقاً وجود نخواهد داشت. بدون پیرنگ است که کنشی یکپارچه و کامل رخدادها و روند وقایعش را نظم داده و پیش می برد. پیرنگ «ساختار» روایتی دراماتیک است که شامل عناصر سازمان دهنده اش می باشد.

The death of the body is a result, always, of the failure of some organ or other, call it the kidney, lungs, heart, or what you like. With the replacement of the organism’s various components, in themselves perishable, with other corresponding stainless or polyethylene parts, there is no earthly reason whatever why the soul, why you yourself – Bustos Domecq – should not be immortal.
در نوع خود، این تئوری – یعنی سیب نیوتون دوباره اتفاق افتاده – به همان سادگی است. مرگ جسم همیشه نتیجۀ نقص یا از کار افتادن بعضی اعضاء است، می خواهد کلیه باشد، ریه ها، قلب یا هر چه که دوست داری. با جایگزین کردن اجزاء مختلف هر ارگانیسم که خود به تنهایی فناپذیر هستند با نوع فلزی یا پلی اتیلن آن، هیچ دلیلی بر این کرۀ خاکی وجود ندارد که چرا روح، یا تو خودت – بوستوس دامک – نتوانی جاودانه باشی.

Interpretive vs. Escapist Literature
There are two kinds of writing, Commercial and Literary. Commercial or Escapist pieces are purely for the reader’s entertainment and for making money and business running. Literary works however are often crafted with a deeper meaning designed purposefully to make the reader think and are rarely predictable.
ادبیات تحلیلی در مقابل ادبیات گریز
دو نوع نگارش وجود دارد: نگارش تجاری و ادبی. نگارش تجاری یا گریز صرفاً برای سرگرم کردن خواننده و کسب درآمد و به راه انداختن کار و کاسبی به کار می رود. اما آثار ادبی معمولاً و به طور هنرمندانه ای به معنای عمیق تری آراسته شده اند و هدفمندانه به گونه ای طراحی شده اند که خواننده را وادار به تفکر نموده و به ندرت قابل پیش بینی اند.
